Crieff Highland Games….Photo-Finish Friday.

Last Sunday, whilst celebrating our 18th Wedding Anniversary, we helped out at the annual Highland Gathering in Crieff. The sun came out to play, the day went excellently and the whole community really enjoyed themselves.

The following photo was of the caber tossing.  The guy tossing the caber went on to win the World Heavyweight Championship, which is what the Crieff games are.

Coincidentally, the guy in the centre of the photo (with the red tassels on his socks) is Colin MacGregor.  He was one of the MC’s for the day.  Oh, and he’s the brother of Hollywood actor, Ewan.

Photo-Finish Friday is the creation of Leah J. Utas.  Stop by her blog here.

That's a great shot. It looks like one or two of those women might know what's worn under the tossers kilt 😉

  2. You know how I feel about men in kilts. :)Glad you helped out. Highland Games are so much fun. We've got them over here, but I don't know how authentic they might be. Lots of men in kilts, though.

  3. Not one mention of haggis? Dammit, sir, you're close to ruining a perfectly good cultural stereotype.

  4. Wonderful. I've seen caber-tossing and I have to say those men are amazing.
